Terms of Service

RentEzy is a software tool that helps landlords track tenants, send rent reminders, and accept payments via UPI. RentEzy is not a payment processor, an escrow service, a bank, or a legal/tax advisor. We do not hold funds. Money flows directly from tenant to landlord via UPI.

You must be 18+ and resident in India. Landlords must be on our approved list during the closed alpha. Tenants gain access through an invite link sent by their landlord.

• Keep your sign-in identifiers (phone, email) accurate. We send payment-critical notifications there.
• Provide a valid UPI ID. We do not verify VPA correctness — you are responsible for the address you enter.
• Resolve disputes with your tenant or landlord directly. RentEzy is a tool; the legal relationship is yours.

During the closed alpha, RentEzy is free for landlords. A small convenience fee may be added to the tenant's UPI request to fund ongoing service. Pricing may change with notice.

• No partial payments; bills are paid in full or not at all.
• No automatic deductions / mandates. Each month requires the tenant to tap Pay.
• Reconciliation may rely on landlord marking paid manually for non-UPI methods.
• No legal lease document, e-stamping, or eSign in MVP.1.
• English + INR only.

Don't use RentEzy to harass tenants, send misleading messages, collect rent on properties you don't own or manage, or attempt to bypass our security controls. We may suspend accounts that do.

RentEzy is provided "as is". We make no warranties about uninterrupted service, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of computed amounts. You are responsible for verifying every payment you receive.

To the extent permitted by Indian law, RentEzy's liability is limited to fees paid by you (if any) in the 12 months preceding a claim.

You may stop using RentEzy at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
